Since I put Figaro as my middle name, I'm hit by luck.
So who is Figaro?

Figaro is a charactor in stage comedy in Barber of Serville & The Marriage of Figaro. Barber of Serville is prequel and The Marriage of Figaro is the sequal. Rossini compose opera for Barber of Serville while Mozart compose opera for The Marriage of Figaro

In Barber of Serville Figaro helps Count Almaviva wood and won the lovely Rosine away from her crusty old ward and would-be-husband, Dr. Bartholo. In The Marriage of Figaro, Beaumarchais continued their story. The Count has married Rosine but their marriage has gone sour because of his philandering. Figaro has quit barbering and is now the Count's major-domo. He is engaged to Suzanne, who is Countess Rosine's maid -- and the Count's intended conquest. Old Bartholo is back to seek revenge on Figaro for taking Rosine away from him, with the help of the slimy music-master, Don Bazile.

With Mozart's masterpiece of a score, the result was a witty yet profound tale of love, betrayal, and forgiveness.

And.............the climax.......since I put Figaro in my middle name...I hit by luck!

1st event: get Mercedes Benz rent car. Usually only given either Nissan, Toyota or Honda.

2st event: my last 2 weeks hotel payment was charge to someone else credit card!!! muahahahhaa...

I was curious coz my last week transaction history don't have any record of trasaction. Today I go to the hotel counter to make this week payment, the staff told me its already been paid! I was like harrr??? So I ask in detail what credit card being charge, after she check then I know charges was not made on my credit card! Although already 1 week since the last transaction, there is no transaction reversal been done! The staff ask me wants to do the reversal or not? I say let's leave it that say coz if there is call for reversal trasaction, they can charge back to my cardit card coz they have my credit card information..hahaha....

But then I cannot spend the money also lah...in case the reversal transaction done, I need to pay back mah right? heheehehe....hence, that amount of money will be freezed.

You guys might wondering how much? Is around USD800!!!

Posh Toy

Because I'm such a good boy, not buat benda yang bukan-bukan in US; God has give me a gift. Mercedes Benz C300 Sport!...muahaha...but rent punya lah...for 10 days...muahaha...but better than nothing lorr....

This baby drive damn smooth on the road, on the last trip in US I drove Nissan Altima, then Toyota Camry. Since my colleague going back to Malaysia earlier than me, I got to send him to airport and pick up a new rent car.

During counter check in to pick up car

Officer: Let's see...we have got Mercedes Benz, Mustang and Infinity. Which 1 you prefer?
Me: hmm....Benz would be delicous! (I did really use the word delicous)

Then his colleague at the next counter kepo to me.
Officer 2: Hey, what's print you have on your shirt?
Me: ohh... (I then open up my cloak reveal the shirt that I bought in Castro).
Officer 2: err...I like snowboarding, working in my garding and fucking like a bull...wow!! where
did you bought this shirt??
Me: In Castro!
Officer 1 & 2 giggle......hahaha...they are such a nice chap!

Hercules & Atlas

I'm sure everyone of us grow up with listening Greek Mythology, like the recent movie making Percy Jackson and the Lighting Theif.

The following piece of art work title Hercules & Atlas. I'm not going to elaborate who is Hercules and how is Atlas. Just a brief story how these 2 Greek mythology comes together.

One of the Twelve Labors of the hero Hercules was to fetch some of the golden apples which grow in Hera's garden, tended by Atlas' daughters, the Hesperides, and guarded by the dragon Ladon. Heracles went to Atlas and offered to hold up the heavens while Atlas got the apples from his daughters.

Upon his return with the apples, however, Atlas attempted to trick Heracles into carrying the sky permanently by offering to deliver the apples himself. Heracles, suspecting Atlas did not intend to return, pretended to agree to Atlas' offer, asking only that Atlas take the sky again for a few minutes so Heracles could rearrange his cloak as padding on his shoulders. When Atlas set down the apples and took the heavens upon his shoulders again, Heracles took the apples and ran away. (source - Wikepedia)

If you see carefully, the position of Hercules and Atlas with certain angle so salah lor! You'll get what I meant once you see below pictures.

Again, this is an art post for the art work I saw when I visited de Young Art Museum in San Francisco. You'll marvel the material used. Below is the text explanations I copy from the museum.

The Spine and Tooth of Santo Guerro replicates elements from several medieval European cathedrals and is fabricated from more than two hundred deconstructed guns, as well as thousand of bullets and shot. Farrow’s use of guns and ammunition comments on the historical connection between religions intolerance and warfare – particularly during the medieval Crusades, which sanctioned the violent conquest of the Holy Land. Farrow believes that, historically, all of the world’s major religions have undermined their moral authority by claiming that “God is on our side” when waging war.

Farrow’s cathedral is transformed into a reliquary by the inclusion of a human spine in the nave and a human tooth over the transept door – both ostensibly belong to the fictitious Santo Guerro (“Saint War”). The spine, mounted for display on ta platform covered with 15th century silk, recalls that many European cathedrals were build with funds derived from the viewing of relics.

Farrow’s bone-filled reliquaries evoke the Catholics Church’s core doctrines of mortality and immortality, and thus serve as traditional “vanitas” symbols illustrating the futility of most human endeavors – even the building of great cathedrals – and the inevitability of death. However, they also suggest that it is neither religion nor the human soul that is eternal, but rather the human instinct to make war.

2nd US Visit - Part II, de Young Art Museum Art Work

First destination after I arrive in SFO airport was Golden Gate Park, mainly de Young Art Museum. I love art museum very much! de Young Art Museum can be consider the first art museum that I visit. This museum stored mainly American artists' masterpiece.
The first piece of fine art I saw was wire sculptures.

Some text to summary the wire sculpture works by the artist Ruth Asawa
"This installation of fifteenth metal sculptures offers on overview of San Francisco artist Ruth Asawa's signature vocabulary based on the visual possibilities of wire."
Just ignore the feizai in the picture and and see the wire sculpture and the shadow behind it, I know the feizai is quite sore to your eye, but please bear with it lah harr..

Next is a fashion couture masterpiece, title Soundsuit by Nick Cave.

Who can carry it and walk in catwalk??

Don't you think below piece of artwork simply marvellous?? Its name is Landscape by Chiura Obata 18855-1975 using ink and colour on silk.

And they have hunk picture also!! and how could I miss the chance to camwhore with picture of a hunk lehh??

2 great art works that I just stood there and appreciate for 15 minutes.....arr..how I wish I can spend time longer. The 1st 1 is Genius Calling Forth the Fine Arts to Adorn Manufactures and Commerce, the 2nd pieces is named Cupid Stung by a Bee. Both by Benjamin West (1738-1820)

Next will be marble sculpture. I can't get enough of them!! There are mainly 2 marble sculptures that I like most in de Young Art Museum. The first 1 no information on it, the 2nd is Dalilah by William Wetmore Story

When talk about sculpture, how can someone miss out Diana the godess of hunting leh?
This 1 is by Frederick William MacMonnies (1863-1937) in 1889. Isn't the artwork looks alive?
